PhysioLinkMB opened in 2018 and is owned by Rhona McWilliam and Tara Wolchuk.  Both physiotherapists have over 12 years of experience.

Rhona McWilliam BSc (Hons) PT

Rhona graduated in 2005 from Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, Scotland with a Bachelor of Science degree with honors.  She now has 12+ years of work and student experience in Scotland, England, Canada and New Zealand.

Rhona has always been a keen sports enthusiast and know how it feels to be out of the game due to injury. This led her to a career path in physiotherapy and it is incredibly rewarding to assist in the recovery process with a focus on reaching a patient's goals. This may be something as simple as putting your own shoes on again to returning to professional level sport.

Throughout the years of working in a variety of different countries and clinics, she felt she had gained enough experience and confidence in order for her to open her own clinic PhysioLinkMB, along with Tara Wolchuk.  Rhona has always believed an exercise based treatment approach is paramount, which is why she feels telerehabilitation has such huge potential.

Post graduate training includes FMS (Functional Movement System) and SFMA Selective Functional Movement System, Orthopedic Medicine Diploma (peripheral module), McKenzie Part A lumbar spine, Part B cervical spine and Part C Advanced Lumbar. Rhona plans to take Part D next year and the certification exam following this. Rhona is very excited to be able to provide this new service in Manitoba and looks forward to helping you achieve your goals via video consult, using Physitrack.

Tara Wolchuk BMR PT

Tara graduated from the University of Manitoba in 2006 with her Bachelor of Medical Rehabilitation Physiotherapy. Since graduation she has been working in private practice but she has a variety of work experience including in the hospital, acute and sub-acute post-ops, community care, teaching, consulting work and research.

In November of 2017, Tara was fortunate enough to be chosen as a volunteer physiotherapist for a medical mission called Operation Walk. Operation Walk Winnipeg, is a team of surgeons, nurses, physiotherapists and many other important team members who volunteer their time in Nicaragua to provide hip and knee replacements to people who need these surgeries but otherwise couldn't afford them. The days were long and hot in less than ideal hospital conditions but the reward of the smile on the patients faces were more than any pay check could provide. It is a goal of Tara's to be able to continue to do volunteer work like this and she hopes to go back again.

When not at work, Tara enjoys spending time with her husband Chad, daughter’s Taylor and Tenley and their French Bulldog, Pita. In the summer months they can be found at the family cabin in Kenora, enjoying the great outdoors.
